== 1.0.7, 31 October 2026: the Gold Store closes for now
- The Gold Store is closed while it's made ready to come back properly, with more to spend gold on. Premium cars already bought stay yours, collected free at Galloway Motors.
== 1.0.6, 31 October 2026: smoother online play
- Music from a stereo or a car radio no longer makes the game lag on a slower connection: if your connection falls behind, the music skips a moment instead of holding up everything else.
- Repeat a song: in a stereo's or a car radio's menu, "Repeat this song" plays it again each time it ends, until you stop it repeating.
- The guide (How to play) is rewritten and up to date, and the rules, terms and privacy now cover friends, blocking and going out: everyone is asked to read and agree to them again, once.
- Fixed bugs.
== 1.0.5, 30 October 2026: friends, and going out
- Alt+I near someone: wave, say hello or bow to them; shake hands, hug or high five, or ask to be friends, each asked of them first. When someone asks you, a chime, and Alt+I answers it.
- Friends: you hear when a friend comes into town or leaves, and friends grow closer by spending time together. F4, People, lists them, who's here, and how close you are.
- Block anyone, from Alt+I or F4's People: nothing of theirs reaches you any more, not their chat, voice, calls, texts or requests, and they aren't told. Do not disturb, in People too, stops all requests.
- Going out together: once you're close friends, and both have said you're 18 or older in F4's People, Alt+I asks them out. Then hold hands (they walk with you), kiss on the cheek, or cuddle up sitting together; either can break up at any time.
- Dates: dinner at Saffron & Salt or coffee at the Sleepy Kettle at the same table, a walk hand in hand along the boardwalk or through Hollowmere Park, a night on a bench by the Starfall Fountain, a drive together, or an evening in at home. Each brings you closer, once a game day, and is remembered.
- Profiles: Alt+I, About, on anyone near says who they are, how long they've lived here, their job, who they're going out with and a line of their own. Write yours in F4's People.
- Fixed bugs.
== 1.0.4, 30 October 2026: fairer fares
- A taxi call says what you'll be paid for it, your share of the fare, and that's what you get.
- Passengers pay the whole fare when you stop on the road beside where they're going, even where that's a wide road from the door, or the circle round Starfall Plaza.
- There's room to walk between the tow trucks at Hook & Haul's depot, and between the ambulances in the bay.
- Fixed bugs.
== 1.0.3, 30 October 2026: a smarter locator
- Tracking a place that's an area, like a park, a car park or the plaza, the beacon leads you to its nearest spot you can walk onto, and you've arrived as soon as you step onto any part of it. For something you can't stand on, like a fountain or a pond, it takes you to the spot beside it.
- Shops' counters have a cart. Right arrow puts one in it and Left takes one out; with Shift, ten at a time; with Control and Shift, a hundred. Shift+Enter types how many, Alt+Enter says what it comes to, and Enter buys it all, asking first whether to load it into your car or truck if it's parked near. Space still describes what you're on.
- The companies' tow trucks and ambulances are always full of fuel. Damage one on your shift and end it without having it fixed at Rivet & Wrench, and the repair comes out of your money.
- Booking a cab, starting a shift or anything else done from the phone closes it: Alt+P opens it again.
- Driving no longer stutters every couple of seconds as the ground under the car changes, from road to crosswalk, sidewalk or grass.
- Fixed bugs.
== 1.0.2, 30 October 2026: tow trucks and ambulances
- Tow trucks and ambulances drive the streets now. Call a tow and a Hook & Haul flatbed comes, winches your car on and takes it to Rivet & Wrench. Knocked out, you lie where you fell until an ambulance comes for you, siren on, and takes you to Lighthouse General; if none reaches you in five minutes, you wake in the ward as before.
- Three new jobs: tow truck driver for Hook & Haul, paramedic for Lighthouse General, and taxi driver for Lantern Cabs in your own car. E beside a tow truck or an ambulance at its depot starts a shift; the phone's Jobs app starts a taxi shift anywhere, and ends any shift. Calls ring your phone, and players on shift are offered them first: Alt+P accepts one or lets it go, but let two go and the shift is over. When no player needs one, the game gives you calls of its own. F4, Keys and how to play, explains how, under Money, shops and jobs.
- Wider roads everywhere in Vesper Bay: each lane is 12 steps wide and each sidewalk 5, on the streets, the boulevards, Starfall Circle and the housing lanes. The city is bigger as a result; every character, car and home was moved to the matching place.
- Fixed bugs.
== 1.0.1, 29 October 2026: a tidier start, and a livelier mall
- A new character's gender and email are on one page: Tab moves between the boxes, Enter when you're done. The code we email you comes after.
- Forgot my password is on the main menu itself. Get help is gone from there: the code to your email does that job now.
- Copperline Mall's entrances and Saffron & Salt's door are three steps wide and open by themselves as you walk in.
- The lift, the escalator and the restaurant's stairs take a few seconds, and you hear them: the lift's doors and motor, the escalator, your steps on the stairs.
- Less echo in the car parks and the mall.
- Bins in the mall and the restaurant: beside one, a hand's menu has Throw it in the bin. A vending machine on each of the mall's floors.
- Things lying in a shop aren't found from outside its doors any more.
- Coffee and tea sound as they used to, sip by sip, quieter, and heard from whoever is drinking as they walk. No more counting sips. P says what people are eating or drinking: Sam, sipping a cup of coffee.
- At a table in Saffron & Salt or the Sleepy Kettle, what you order is eaten there a bite at a time, with a knife and fork; standing up leaves the rest.
- A message arriving on someone's phone is heard by those near them, as a call is.
- Backslash: nearby chat, heard within 40 meters, or inside a building only by those within its walls. It has its own buffer.
- Looking at something in your pockets or backpack, what it is isn't cut off any more.
- The download page is simpler.
== 1.0.0, 29 October 2026: the first official release
- This is version 1.0, the first official release, and the game has a new name: Get Settled.
- One program: Get Settled.exe is the game, and it updates itself each time you start it. The old launcher and game.exe go from your folder by themselves.
- Every character is a woman, a man or nonbinary, chosen when it's made (characters from before choose once, at their next login). Others hear about you as she, he or they. Change it at City Hall's front desk, once a month.
- Change your name at City Hall's front desk, for 15,000 dollars. Your cars, home, farm and tickets follow the new name, and your password stays the same.
- The rules, terms and privacy: you read them and agree once before you play. They're on the main menu and in F4 Help.
- F4 is Help: Keys and how to play, every key by topic, a list each (in a car it opens at Cars and driving); What's new, this list; tickets to the admins; and the rules. F6 lists who's online.
- After an update, the game tells you once that there's something new, here in F4.
- Before a restart, everyone hears a warning a minute ahead, with reminders, and afterwards is told why the connection closed.
- A web page with the download, how to install, and help.
- Logging in is now sealed: your password goes encrypted, so only the server can read it. Too many wrong passwords and logging in waits a while.
- Every character has an email, confirmed with a 6-digit code we send to it: new characters give one when they're made, and characters from before give one at their next login. Up to 3 characters can share an email.
- Forgot your password? On the main menu, Forgot my password: we email you a code, and you choose a new password with it.
- Help tickets: F4, New ticket, to ask the admins, or tell them about a bug or a player. You're told when they answer, even if you were away.
- Chat has a flood limit, and you can report a player. The admins can mute, remove and ban.
- Phone calls: with the phone in your hand, your microphone is open for the call; no Y needed. The game warns you if your microphone goes silent.
- Talking with Y can be set to press once to start and again to stop, on the Voice tab of the settings. P and W say who's talking, and who's on a phone.
- Cars: the key goes in the ignition. An unlocked car opens at every door, and locking or unlocking is spoken. A car locked with its key inside unlocks when the last person gets out. The engine drops to idle when the driver gets out. The wipers sound from the windscreen, and your phone's ringtone isn't muffled in your own car.
- Cabs go back to their yard after a ride, and nobody can lock or unlock the drivers' cars.
- Homes: the door from the garage to the house works with a car parked close to it. The owner can unplug a guest's phone, with a choice to leave it.
- Your phone's battery lasts much longer while you're not using it.
- A day in the city lasts 12 real hours now (it was 2), so everyone, in any country, has mornings and evenings to play in. Crops ripen in about 9 hours to a day of real time, and farm animals last six real days without food, not one night.
- The weather changes every few game hours, not every few minutes, and a step at a time: from sunny to cloudy to drizzle to rain, and the wind rising and falling gradually, instead of jumping.
- New clothes at Threadbare & Fine: for women (blouse, dress, summer dress, cardigan, skirt, leggings, heels, flat shoes, hijab, dupatta), for men (dress shirt, polo shirt, suit jacket, waistcoat, trousers, loafers, tie, prayer cap), and for everyone (hoodie, joggers, kameez, shalwar, kurta, sandals, beanie). Anyone can wear anything; the shop lists yours first.
- The weather on you feels right: a summer shower cools a hot afternoon (you're no longer hot out in the rain), and rain or wind in summer never leaves you freezing.
- Copperline Mall, on the corner of Copperline Street and Pinnacle Boulevard, with doors on both roads: the shops that were along Copperline Street are inside it, on two floors, with an escalator and a lift, and two parking levels under it, down a ramp off Pinnacle Boulevard. The locator leads you to a shop from outside. Galloway Motors, the gas station and the workshop stay on the street.
- Saffron & Salt has two floors of its own now, eight tables on each, its door on the mall's first floor.
- Tidewater House has a car park under it: drive down the ramp beside it off Wren Lane, and take the lift up to the hallway.
- Eating and drinking go a bite or a sip at a time, each with its own sound, filling you up as you go; cans and bottles are opened first; choose Stop to keep the rest for later ("a sandwich, with 2 bites left"). You can walk while you eat, and those near you hear it.
- New cars come in a colour you choose, with the gearbox you choose: automatic, a little dearer, or manual.
- Clothes come in colours: choose one when you buy a piece.
- The news (Shift+W) tells you when a car passes close: "Sam's red convertible just crossed in front of you".
- The city sounds alive: a soft hum of town everywhere, busier along Copperline Street. The mall has its shoppers and a food court; the car parks echo, and so do the mall's halls.
- Lantern Cabs come to the mall's and the car parks' doors, and take you to them; the Cabs app can book a cab to whatever you're tracking.
- One bus stop at the mall, on Copperline Street, instead of two along the old shops; Line 1's stop on Pinnacle Boulevard is by the mall's other door.
- Space, while tracking, says just where it is: the direction and how far, not its name again.
- With 3D audio on, sounds behind you are no longer lower in pitch: you hear them behind you.
- A new economy: pay goes up about 4 times (a shift of work earns about 1,500 dollars an hour), everyday prices 4 to 5 times, and homes and cars are real goals: an apartment 5,500 dollars, a house with its garage 40,000, cars 9,000 to 30,000. Everyone's money was multiplied by 4, so it's worth what it was in hours of work.
- Everyone's car was taken off the map for 1.0, so everyone starts the same; premium cars bought with gold can be collected again, free, at Galloway Motors.
- Every house's garage is wider: room for three cars side by side, or two four-by-fours, with room to open the doors.
- Smoother play on slower computers.
